Q: What is a domain name?
A: A domain name is a sequence of letters and numbers which determine the address of your site. This site's domain name is "netsky.biz" . You need to register a domain name before your web site becomes accessible at this address.
An address. It is the URL. It is also known as your website address. An example of a domain name is abc.com. A domain name is more like a map than anything else. It tells computers where to go to find your site. For example, when your computer tries to go to www.abc.com, the request is sent through your Internet service provider's DNS ( domain name server) Database. So your web browser (the program you surf the web with) sends a request to go to www.abc.com. Your ISP checks their DNS Database and finds that the domain name of www.abc.com really points to abc's web hosting. It then takes your browser to the correct hosted website.

Q: How to register a domain name?
A: Firstly, you can go to Domain Name Register Service 's website. We can register domain name for you, too
Secondly, you have to search the domain name to see whether it is available. If it has been taken ,you have to register for another similar domain name Because the every domain name is unique on the Internet. If the domain name you like has not been taken yet,you can register now.

Thirdly, generally, you maybe asked to creat an account and asked for additional information, such as a user name and password (so that you can log into the Registrar's control panel and make changes to your domain name information)

Fourthly, You will also be asked for payment information, but payment procedures vary widely from Registrar to Registrar.

Q: What is the difference between a domain and a subdomain?
A: A domain name is a full website address totally independent of other domain names, but a subdomain depends on a domain name. If for example "yourdomain.com" is your domain name, then http://yourdomain.com and http://www.yourdomain.com would be your domain name's address. A subdomain name would be a name under your domain name, something like "sales.yourdomain.com". It's address would then be: http://sales.yourdomain.com. It can say anything you want instead of "sales" and the nice thing is that unlike a domain name, a subdomain does not need to be registered. This will save you money.

Q: My domain is about to expire. What can I do ?
A: If your domain is close to its expiration, you should renew immediately. Make sure to renew your domain name at least 2 weeks before it is set to expire. Please contact the company that registered your domain in order to renew.

Q: I just registered a domain name. Do I own the domain name now ?
A:

Once the registration is successful and paid for, you become the owner of the domain name. This is valid for the registration period of the domain. You can verify ownership at any time by doing a WHOIS query on the domain .

Q: What is domain name forwarding and how do I do it ?
A:

Forwarding a domain name enables you to direct incoming traffic from your parked domain to an already existing Web site. Thus, when someone attempts to access your domain, he or she is automatically redirected. A parked domain is a domain name with domain name servers (DNS) set to parked.

Forwarding with Masking prevents visitors from knowing that they have been redirected by securing that your domain name remains in the visitor's browser's address bar when he/she is being redirected, thus concealing the actual destination address. The Forwarding with Masking option further enables users to add a title, plus description and keywords Meta tag data to the masked site. Title and Meta tag information is important to a Web site's search engine ranking, but does not influence how a Web site is being displayed.
